Katherine Calvey is delighted to become part of the music scene again in her hometown of Cleveland, OH after having returned from serving many years as the principal flutist in Mexico - where she had the opportunity to collaborate musically with Jose Carreras, Rene Fleming and many other prominent artists. As an orchestral flutist/piccoloist, concerto soloist, recitalist, college music professor, and recording artist; Ms. Calvey’s musical career has allowed her to perform in 20 countries, teach music in 4 continents and win numerous national music competitions. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Music from Peabody - Johns Hopkins; a Masters of Music Degree from The University of Michigan (where she studied as a full talent scholarship student) and completed musical studies at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. She has performed extensively throughout the world as a concerto soloist, recitalist and principal flutist in multiple orchestras.
